After attending Point Loma High, she graduated from UCSD with a degree in linguistics. Ann held top management and consulting positions in LA and Silicon Valley, while raising her family as a single mom. In 2001, she returned to San Diego to care for aging parents, founded a nonprofit for renewable ocean energy, Practical Ocean Energy Management Systems, (POEMS), and obtained Real Estate and Insurance licenses. An avid gardener, cook and explorer, grandmama Ann Marie is committed to finding better ways to enjoy life for herself and improve her community. In an ongoing remodel of her own recently acquired midcentury Point Loma home, with plenty of practical, efficient "green" upgrades indoors and out, she is most interested in timely, make-sense improvements and strategies that pay for themselves. |
